Mercorelli Lab is a theoretical and experimental multicultural team based at Leuphana University of Lueneburg (Germany). Our research focuses on fundamentals of Control Systems and their applications. The Mercorelli Lab was founded in 2004 at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfsburg (Germany).
The Lab started its activity in spring 2005 working in cooperation with Volkswagen Research Center in Wolfsburg. In 2011 the Lab moved to Leuphana University of Lueneburg and in spring 2012 continued its activity there. The main mission of the Lab is that of appling fundamental researches to the development of new control structures and algorithms for technical systems.
The Lab collaborated and collaborates with national and international Universities, research institutions and companies in different research projects. Some of them are: Rolls-Royce in Friedrichshafen, Volkswagen in Wolfsburg, Infineon Technologies AG in Munich, Ibeo Automotive in Hamburg and Czech Academic of Science of Prague.
The Lab was founded by Paolo Mercorelli who, since 2012, has been Distinguished Full Professor and Head of the Chair of Control and Drive Systems at Leuphana University of Lueneburg. Since 2018 he obtained a International Distinguished Visiting Professor Fellowship at Lodz University of Technology. Since 2019 he has been lecturer and Visiting Professor at the PhD Schools of the University of Miskolc and Craiova.
